MEDA RedSens Measurement System

Funding: European Union - European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

As part of the funding program "Promotion of research skills at universities and non-university research institutions", the MEDA RedSens measuring system was purchased in 2017 by the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and with funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) at the Chair of Technical Mechanics/Dynamics.

The RedSens measuring system is used to identify the dynamic properties of vibrating structures. Measurement data can be recorded wirelessly via an existing WLAN connection at spatially distributed measurement points. The system is currently being used in the DynAwind project to identify the overall dynamic behavior of wind turbines. Acceleration signals in the rotating system of the rotor and in the stationary systems of the tower and the nacelle can be recorded simultaneously. The modal parameters are identified on the basis of operational modal analysis (OMA).
