One research focus of the Chair of Engineering Mechanics/Dynamics is the control of robots. In addition to two industrial robots, the chair also has a modular articulated arm robot that can be freely programmed right down to the servo drives. In addition to the hardware equipment, the chair also has industry-specific software from KUKA for simulating robot control.
