Dipl.-Ing. Eric Kleist

Research Assistant

Eric Kleist studied mechanical engineering at the University of Rostock from 2013 to 2019, specializing in constructional design and lightweight construction. As part of his student research project at the Chair of Technical Dynamics, he worked on determining the instantaneous screw axis of the human knee during flexion movement. In his master's thesis, he investigated the joint damping of bolted plate connections.

Eric Kleist has been employed as a research assistant at the Chair of Technical Dynamics since May 2019. There he supervises seminars on the courses Machine Dynamics and Dynamics of Multibody Systems. He also collaborates with the Research Laboratory for Biomechanics and Implant Technology to investigate artificial knee joints using a joint simulator.
